detailed Description
Few gemstones carry a name that promises so much – and delivers so consistently. Padparadscha. The Sanskrit word for the color of a lotus blossom at sunset. Anyone who has seen a true padparadscha understands immediately why a separate name was needed.
This one shows exactly that color: a warm pinkish orange that both the GGTL and ÖGemG describe as "Sunset Colour." Not pure orange, not pure pink – but that rare, precise balance between the two that defines a padparadscha. The color seems to glow rather than shine. A distinction that is hard to put into words and instantly recognizable in person.
1.27 carats in a pear cut, 7.82 × 5.86 mm. The pear shape is a natural choice for this color – it draws light along the length of the stone, letting the warm tones travel evenly through every facet. Moderate inclusions are present; at this level of color quality in a padparadscha, that is far from unusual.
What matters most: the stone is untreated. Two independent laboratories – ÖGemG and GGTL – confirm this in their reports. The color is entirely natural. No heat, no enhancement.
Padparadscha sapphires are among the most coveted gems in the world. This one shows exactly why.
