detailed Description
Green and blue – two colors that often blur into one another in nature, yet here appear as clearly defined zones within a single sapphire crystal. 1.046 carats, heart cut, untreated. A stone that catches you on first glance and holds you there.
The color shifts depending on light source and viewing angle. The GLA describes the zones as green and blue; the ALGT reads them as deep blue and green. Two reports, one stone, two slightly different stories – which is exactly what makes bicolor sapphires so compelling. They are never quite still.
At 6.70 × 6.99 mm, this heart is marginally taller than wide, a proportion that gives the cut a sense of fullness and allows both color zones to express themselves fully. Very minor inclusions, no indications of thermal treatment. No laboratory has optimized what you see here – the color zoning is the result of natural crystal growth, shaped entirely by the earth.
If you are already familiar with the blue/yellow companion stone: this is its cooler, deeper counterpart. Two hearts, two characters.
