This color-changing diaspore, also called sultanite, displays a pronounced color change from a yellowish green to a pinkish brown. It weighs approximately 12.5 carats. The stone is slightly over 1.5 cm long, just over 1.2 cm wide, and not quite 8.3 mm deep. The transparent sultanite has been cut into a faceted oval. The cut used is described as a star cut in the DeGEB certificate. The crown is cut in a modified brilliant cut (brilliant-set). The pavilion is cut in a Portuguese cut.
Every observer to date has found this stone particularly attractive, and the experts at DeGEB apparently shared this view, assigning this sultanite a particularly high appraisal.
