detailed Description
Sri Lanka has been one of the world's most celebrated sapphire origins for centuries – and it continues to produce stones that are difficult to match. This yellow sapphire is a fine example of why.
2.64 carats in a pear cut. At 10.10 × 6.29 mm, it is generously sized – a stone that commands attention in any setting without ever feeling heavy-handed. The pear cut suits it well: the curved base tapering to a clean point gives the stone a sense of movement, of lightness.
The color is a clear, bright yellow – not aggressive, not washed out, but exactly in that sweet spot that makes Ceylon sapphires so sought after. A yellow with genuine clarity and lift. The very minor inclusions documented by the GLA leave the interior of the stone looking quietly pristine.
What sets this sapphire apart is its untreated status. No heat, no enhancement – the color is entirely as nature intended. The GLA Gemmological Laboratory Austria confirms this in their report. For a Sri Lankan sapphire of this quality, that is a meaningful distinction.
A bright, natural sapphire with a documented origin. Exactly what it claims to be.
