This 1.03-carat sapphire carries a color that is hard to forget. At 6.63 x 5.12 x 3.17 mm, it offers well-balanced proportions for a stone of this size. The antique rectangular cut gives it a distinctive personality – its softened corners and stepped faceting radiate a warmth that more contemporary cuts often fail to achieve. Very small inclusions are present, as is to be expected in a natural sapphire. Both IGI Antwerp and GLA – Gemmological Laboratory Austria found no indications of thermal treatment.
