At 10.08 x 7.31 x 4.13 mm, it is a stone with real presence. The oval faceted cut gives it an elegant, flowing shape that showcases the green generously and allows it to unfold across its width. Many inclusions are present – with emeralds, this is not the exception but the norm. Gemology even has its own term for it: jardin – the inner garden of the stone. These inclusions tell the story of its natural formation and make every emerald one of a kind.
Moderate fracture filling with oil or resin has been identified. This treatment has been an established and globally accepted practice in the emerald trade for centuries. It enhances the appearance of the stone and is present in some form in nearly all emeralds on the market.
