detailed Description
Some stones carry a story. Tanzanite carries one that no other gemstone can claim.
This oval tanzanite of 3.08 carats originates from Tanzania – specifically from the Merelani Hills near the foot of Kilimanjaro, the only place on earth where tanzanite is found. That geographical exclusivity is part of what makes this stone what it is. But what truly sets it apart is the color: a deep, layered blue with a violet undertone that shifts and deepens depending on the light. It is a color that exists nowhere else in the mineral world quite like this.
At 10.03 × 8.06 × 5.18 mm, the stone has a face large enough to do full justice to that color. The oval cut handles the light with ease – guiding it through the stone smoothly, emphasizing depth rather than flash, and letting the blue unfold without interruption. Depending on the angle, the color pulls toward blue or leans into violet. It is never quite the same twice.
Clarity is eye-clean. No visible inclusions, nothing to compete with or diminish the color. The stone presents itself without compromise.
An independent certificate from the Gemmological Laboratory Austria (GLA) confirms both identity and origin. For a stone of this quality and provenance, that assurance is exactly what it should be.
3.08 carats. Eye-clean. Certified. From Tanzania. This tanzanite speaks for itself.
