detailed Description
Zoisite 4.38 ct
Zoisite is a mineral; the name for the blue variety is tanzanite. Mined tanzanite is not usually blue. Only blue zoisite is marketed as "tanzanite," similar to how red corundum is sold as ruby and not red sapphire. Most zoisite is brownish and acquires its blue color through heat treatment. This zoisite from Tanzania, however, is completely untreated and naturally displays a two-tone pattern of brown and violet. This makes it a rare bicolor zoisite. This bicolor zoisite from Tanzania weighs 4.38 carats and measures approximately 9 mm in length, 8 mm in width, and 6 mm in depth. It is eye-clean. The transparent zoisite has been cut into a faceted octagon, with the crown having three rows of facets and the underside four. This zoisite is ideally suited for the creation of a ring stone or a pendant by a goldsmith of your choice.
