Earrings, hoops, clips and studs: types of earrings There are different types of earrings. They differ in shape and size, as well as in the type of clasp.
Dangling earrings are elongated, and the gemstones used can be creatively set to form different shapes, such as flowers or stars. Earrings can be short (hanging down one to two centimetres) or reach almost to the shoulders.
Earrings can be simply hooked into the ear by a single earwire. For shorter earrings, secure folding clasps are recommended. The ends of the earwire are folded into the clasp, forming a closed circle with the clasp, so the earwire cannot accidentally slip out of the ear.
You can think of creole earrings as rings. These rings can be large or small, thick or thin. Precious stones can either hang from the hoops like a kind of pendant or be set along the rings (very small precious stones are particularly suitable for this).

After wearing them, it's best to place them in the box provided so that they don't touch each other. Don't store the earrings with other pieces of jewelry, otherwise harder gemstones could scratch softer ones.
We also recommend that you remove the earrings when doing sports, sunbathing or showering. Sunscreen, chlorine or salt water can damage metals such as silver or gold, causing them to lose their shine or even their color.
Clean your earrings with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use chemicals, as these could damage your jewelry.
