Paraiba 1.56 ct

Pastel Greenish-Blue (GRS-type “Paraiba”-color)

This Paraiba is distinguished by its neon color, a brilliant blue that displays greenish hues depending on the light. It is transparent and exhibits significant inclusions. Inclusions are common in tourmalines, making eye-clean Paraiba tourmalines particularly rare.

The cut enhances its neon blue color and gives the stone its brilliance. The brilliance and color of this Paraiba tourmaline are primarily accentuated by the cut. Like all faceted gemstones, it consists of the pavilion (lower part) and crown (upper part), with the girdle (roundist) in between. The crown is the part of the stone visible in the finished jewelry piece.

The crown of this Paraiba is modified brilliant cut, while the pavilion is crafted in the Portuguese cut, featuring many rhombus-shaped facets.

Weight & Shape: Suitable for various types of jewelry

This Paraiba tourmaline weighs 1.56 carats, which is approximately 0.3 grams. The stone measures 9 mm in length, 6 mm in width, and 4 mm in depth, making it an ideal stone for crafting jewelry.

It can be set into a ring, bracelet, or pendant for a necklace. This neon blue gemstone stands out beautifully either on its own or combined with small diamonds. Depending on your preference, it can be set in platinum, gold, or silver. With a valuable setting and a creative design by your jeweler, the value of this stone can be further enhanced.
