Pink-Red Spinel 5.57 ct
This spinell has the color pink-red and weighs approximately 5.6 carats. The stone is slightly longer than 1.1 cm, just over 1 cm wide, and 6.6 mm deep.
This stone has very small inclusions that are barely visible to the naked eye.
The transparent gemstone has been cut into a faceted oval. The crown is brilliant-cut, and the pavilion has been executed in step cut with five steps. This combination of cuts (crown in brilliant cut or modified brilliant cut / pavilion in step cut) is also known in the trade as a “Mixed Cut”.
This pink-red spinel has been attributed to the country of origin Sri Lanka by Lotus Gemology.
