Gemstone Pendants in different sizes and shapes In the IGNEOUS gemstone shop you will find gemstone pendants in different sizes and shapes. Each pendant is handmade by a goldsmith and is unique. On request, we can make any gemstone from our shop into a beautiful pendant for necklaces or bracelets.
You can choose between simple pendants with only one gemstone or pendants with several, color-coordinated gemstones.
Particularly valuable stones, such as blue sapphire, emerald, ruby or aquamarine, are particularly effective on their own. However, they can also be combined with other stones, for example with topaz, tourmaline or amethyst.
The size of the pendant varies depending on the size of the gemstone. The shape also depends on the gemstone. Several gemstones can be combined to form creative shapes, flowers, crosses or even hearts. The perfect accessory for special occasions or everyday wear. Due to their high value, the pendants in our shop are also suitable for special occasions. Dangling from a beautiful necklace made of precious metal, they are a unique accessory for an opera dress or ball gown. When a ray of light catches the gemstone in your pendant, its sparkle is sure to attract attention.
Of course, you can also wear your pendant in everyday life. It can give a simple dress or costume an interesting touch, and even with jeans and a T-shirt, the elegant pendants will turn heads.
Gemstones in bezel or prong settings The most popular types of setting for high-quality gemstones are bezel and prong settings.
Prong settings are used in particular for gemstones with clear eyes or with few inclusions. Prongs are thin metal claws that hold the gemstone. This allows plenty of light to reach the stone, accentuating its beauty and purity.
This type of setting is therefore also mostly used for pendants with only one gemstone.
For pendants with several stones, opaque stones or stones with small inclusions, the bezel setting (also called a blurred setting) is preferred. This encompasses the gemstone like a frame encompasses a picture. It overlaps the edge of the gemstone very slightly, allowing the light to hit the stone only from above. Silver, gold or platinum – the precious metal matches the gemstone. We prefer to use precious metals such as silver, gold or platinum and their alloys to set our precious gemstones. Depending on the type, precious metal alloys consist of precious metals and additional metals (e.g. copper, palladium or zinc).
Alloys are advantageous because the color of the metal can be changed and the polishability and hardness can be improved.
Thanks to proper storage, your gemstone pendant will sparkle like new even after years of wear. Your gemstone pendant will be delivered in a protective packaging box. It is best to always store it in this box and avoid letting it come into contact with other pieces of jewelry. This could cause hard gemstones to scratch softer stones.
When caring for your pendant, you should proceed very carefully to avoid scratches or accidentally damaging the setting (especially with delicate prong settings). Gently wipe your pendant with a soft cloth.
If it is very dirty, we recommend that you have your piece of jewelry cleaned by a jeweler or goldsmith.
