This natural alexandrite is a color-changing variety of the mineral chrysoberyl with a weight of around 1.1 carats. The stone changes color from green in natural light (daylight) to reddish brown in artificial light (e.g. candlelight). The length of the stone is almost 6.8 millimeters, the width is just over 5 millimeters and the depth is 3.4 millimeters.This alexandrite has very small inclusions.The transparent gemstone was cut into a faceted oval. The upper part was brilliant and the lower part has three facet rings. This type of cut is also called “Ceylon Cut”.
