This alexandrite shows a clear color change from green in daylight to purple in artificial light (e.g. candlelight or light bulb light). Alexandrite is the color-changing variety of the mineral chrysoberyl. This gemstone has a weight of around 3.3 carats. The length is 1.09 cm, the width approx. 6.7 millimetres and the depth approx. 4.3 millimetres. The transparent gemstone has been cut into a faceted octagon and has medium inclusions. The upper part of the stone has two faceted rims and the lower part has four faceted rims.

The appraisal for this gemstone was issued by the Gemmologisches Labor Austria (GLA).
